International Student Scholarships

All new F-1 undergraduate, degree-seeking international students applying to Utah Tech University will be considered. Scholarships will be awarded to international students who meet the following criteria:

• English proficiency scores:
  • Overall TOEFL score 68+ (Reading – 22+ & Writing 24+ preferred)
  • Overall IELTS score of 6.0+ (Reading 6.0+ & Writing 6.0 +)
  • Overall Duolingo score of 95+
  • Overall iTEP Score of 3.5+
  • ACT English score of 17+
  • SAT Writing/Language score of 24+
  • College Placement Test (CPT/Accuplacer) Sentence Skills scores of 237+ and a Reading Score of a 239+
• 3.0 GPA or equivalent OR ACT score of 26+ OR SAT score of 1240+

Scholarship recipients will be required to maintain a minimum 3.3 GPA each semester.

The award is for $2,500 for the first academic year; $1,250 for the first fall and $1,250 for the first spring semester of enrollment and is applicable to tuition only.

Submit all Admission Requirements for scholarship consideration by:

July 1st for Fall Semester

December 1st for Spring Semester

Applicants may be admitted if documents are received after the deadline, but they are not eligible for scholarship funding.

Recipients will be notified of this award in their official Utah Tech University acceptance packet.

All continuing F-1 undergraduate, degree-seeking international students enrolled full-time in an associate or bachelor’s degree program at Utah Tech University St. George main campus and complete the application will be considered. Scholarships will be awarded to international students who meet the following criteria:

• Complete a minimum of 24 credit hours and have a minimum 3.3 GPA from Utah Tech University or another regionally accredited before applying for the scholarship (excludes ESL credits).
• Must be working toward an Associates’ or Bachelors’ degree
• Must have a verification of eligibility signed by an International Office representative.
• Must be in good standing with the International Student & Scholars Office

Once on scholarship, students must pass 12 credits or more per semester while maintaining a 3.3 overall GPA or higher.

The award is for $5,500 each year; $2,750 for the fall and $2,750 for the spring semester of enrollment and is applicable to tuition only.

The application is only required for students who are not currently on an International Academic Scholarship (be it the Freshman or Merit).

Fall Deadline – July 1st
