The MISA Samuela Tupola Leadership Scholarship is named in honor of Samuela Maluamaka Tupola, who passed away on March 14, 2021. Samuela studied Communications and served as the President of the Multicultural Inclusion Student Association (MISA). He was on the Honor Roll, Deans List, and was awarded various academic scholarships. He served in different capacities with many different groups including UPICEC Advocacy Group, OCA Asian Pacific Islander American Advocate Utah and the Southern Utah Pacific Islander Coalition. Sam was a Resident Assistant, the secretary of the Pacific Islander Student Association and received the lifesaving award from the Utah Tech University Police Department.
