UT Earn to Learn

June 1st Deadline

Eligible students must apply through the Earn to Learn website by June 1st, to be a part of the program. Selection and proof of savings will happen between the deadline and the start of Fall semester.

What do you need to do with Utah Tech?

  • Apply and be admitted to Utah Tech or a currently enrolled non-resident student.
  • Have a completed FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) on file with our Financial Aid Office.
  • Awarded or currently receiving a qualified non-resident waiver.
    • Qualified Waivers: Red Rocks, WUE, Good Neighbor, and Half Merit Waivers.
  • Enroll as a full-time student (12+ credits per semester).

What do you need to do with Earn to Learn?

  • Apply through the Earn to Learn website and be accepted from Earn to Learn.
  • Work with your Earn to Learn Success Coach and adhere to the rules of the student savings plan.
  • Earn to Learn will then verify all eligibility through UT and that you have met all of the above steps with Utah Tech University.
  • Earn to Learn will then authorize the withdrawal of your ETL savings account and submit your approved request to UT Scholarship Office.

How does Utah Tech match the Earn to Learn funds?

Your Red Rocks, WUE, Good Neighbor or Half Merit waivers act as the matching funds from Utah Tech.

The funds from ETL come in as $1000 cash each semester in addition to your $250 savings.
