UT Earn to Learn

June 1st Deadline

Earn to Learn is a college savings-scholarship program. Eligible students must apply through the Earn to Learn website by June 1st, to be a part of the program. Selection and proof of savings will happen between the deadline and the start of Fall semester.

Steps to Take at Utah Tech?

To qualify for Earn to Learn, make sure you’ve completed the following steps at Utah Tech University:

  • Apply and get admitted to Utah Tech, or be a currently enrolled non-resident student.
  • Submit your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to our Financial Aid Office.
  • Be awarded or currently receiving a qualified non-resident tuition waiver.
    • Qualified waivers include: Red Rocks, WUE, Good Neighbor, or Half Merit.
  • Enroll full-time (12 or more credits per semester).
  • Review the cost of attendance so you understand your financial need and how Earn to Learn can help cover your educational expenses.

What You Need to Do with Earn to Learn (ETL)?

To receive your Earn to Learn scholarship, be sure to complete the following steps:

  • Apply and be accepted through the Earn to Learn website.
  • Work with your ETL Success Coach and follow the guidelines of the student savings plan.
  • Earn to Learn will verify your eligibility with Utah Tech University and confirm that you’ve completed all required steps with the university.
  • Once verified, Earn to Learn will authorize a withdrawal from your ETL savings account and send your approved request to Utah Tech’s Scholarship Office.

How does Utah Tech match the Earn to Learn funds?

Your Red Rocks, WUE, Good Neighbor or Half Merit waivers act as the matching funds from Utah Tech.

The funds from ETL come in as $1000 cash each semester in addition to your $250 savings.
