In the 2024 legislative session there was a change made to the State Bill that allowed for the Alumni Legacy Waiver. State Legislators changed it to only a parent and only for first time freshmen, to apply towards their first year. After their first year, they will either need to apply for one of the other non-resident waivers, or for Utah residency.
When you enter into an Online Only Program, your tuition is an already discounted tuition. You are essentially paying resident tuition with the online fees included. So your out of pocket expenses, no matter which of the above you have been awarded, are less than before.
Unfortunately, no. These waivers are not stackable with another academic scholarship. You can apply for Community, Departmental, Private, Leadership, etc, but nothing else academic.
Since Good Neighbor is a tuition program, it is not a traditional scholarship. It changes the tuition that is charged to your account at a reduced rate. Essentially, the scholarship has already been applied when the tuition is charged.
As a current student, we cannot award until the current semester grades are submitted. You are added to a list of current student applicants, and we check eligibility at the end of every semester for the next. Once we check your eligibility, you will be notified of your award.
