Utah Resident Freshmen Scholarships

Utah Tech University awards Academic Scholarships to first time freshman who are fully admitted by deadline based on their unweighted cumulative High School GPA or index score.

How to calculate an Index Score: Unweighted GPA x 10 = GPA score + highest ACT Composite

(EX: 3.5 GPA x 10 = 35 GPA Score + 30 ACT = 65 Index Score

Students are awarded merit scholarships with and without consideration to the ACT or SAT tests. However, if you do not submit a test score they are still required in determining placement in Math and English.

UT offers the College Placement Test which, though not required for merit scholarships, is helpful in determining placement in Math and English. For information, dates, cost and exclusions, please go to the Testing Center.

The GED, HiSET, and any other High School Equivalency make students ineligible for Incoming Freshman Scholarships.
